The much-anticipated 4th Food Safety Summit by Glenwood Technologies International, Inc. (GTI) was held at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas Avenue, Quezon City last June 2, 2022. The Food Safety Summit aims not only to strengthen the food safety culture in the Philippines but to serve as a platform to engage the participants by imparting the latest trends and concepts on food safety.
More than 150 food safety professionals attended the on-site event. Speakers of the food safety summit provided the necessary knowledge, informative demonstrations, and even shared hands-on experiences to the attendees, effectively immersing them further in the diverse world of the food and feed industry. Speakers of the event included Food-Drug Regulation Officer IV of the Philippine Food and Drug Administration, Mr. Timothy Moises C. Mendoza, RND who discussed food safety culture in the Philippines and its legal mandate. Chief Executive Officer of Quality Partners Company, Ltd, Dr. Miflora Gatchalian, on the other hand, talked about the Importance of Statistics for Process and Product Quality Monitoring and Improvement. Topics on hygiene and sanitation in the food industry and environmental monitoring program were discussed by the food safety experts from GTI.
Following the Manila Food Safety Summit was the 2nd Mindanao Food Safety Summit which was held at the Royale Mandaya Hotel Davao last June 10, 2022. The southern counterpart event was attended by more than 80 food safety professionals from General Santos City, Cotabato City, Davao City, Cebu City, and Cagayan de Oro City.
Consistent with its advocacy, GTI's Food Safety Summits remain to be highly-regarded events and exhibitions for food safety trends and innovations. Through the myriad of activities and talks, the Food Safety Summit was successfully held on a high note, with the attained goal of strengthening the food safety culture in the country.
