AREAS COVERED IN THE SESSION
TOPIC 1: The Science behind Disposable Wipes
-Infection Control has gone a long way since the time of Semmelweis, the father of Hand Hygiene and Infection Control. A huge amount of data now supports principles in infection control that are being applied globally. We continue to search for new ways to improve our current practices. Recently, growing evidence suggests that disposable wipes are safer and more effective in infection control and prevention compared to reusable cleaning cloths. This technical talk will review and discuss the history and principles of disposable wipes and their benefits, recommendations, cost-effectiveness studies, and their use in the food industry and medical setting.
TOPIC 2: Hygiene and Sanitation in the Food Industry
-Designing an effective hygiene and sanitation program depends on the equipment and nature of products and materials used. However, regardless of the specifications and methods of cleaning employed, the primary objective of hygiene and sanitation is to ensure that food products' safety is maintained throughout the production process. If the cleaning method employed is insufficient, pathogens and allergens lurking in the environment, especially on improperly cleaned food contact surfaces, may compromise food safety and result in food recalls. This technical talk will discuss how you can effectively build a comprehensive hygiene and sanitation control program and ensure hygiene compliance in your facilities. Ms. Enya will also discuss hygienic zoning in the food industry, the role of ATP testing in cleaning and disinfection, and the innovations in hygiene and sanitation verification in this webinar.
The electronic copy of the certificates will be issued to attendees 2-3 weeks after the webinar. For any questions or clarifications, send an e-mail to
