Professor Angella Carlos is the Microbiology Division Head of the Institute of Biological Sciences at the University of the Philippines - Los Baños. She has been serving as an assistant professor at the aforementioned institution for more than 12 years. She had received her postgraduate degree in Food Science from the University of Georgia in 1997.
Professor Carlos has been teaching courses on Food Microbiology, Dairy Microbiology, Physiology of Bacteria, and Predictive Microbiology, among many others. She also holds the position of Representative for Microbiology Education in the Philippine Society for Microbiology.
