“Today, many Filipinos have become cautious in their choice of foods and drinks, hence, halal-certified products have become a good alternative. With the increasing number of Muslim and non-Muslim consumers in the global market, the demand for halal-certified products has also increased.
In our day-to-day activities, the concept of halal food surpasses mere religious values and has become more of a standard for hygiene and health. A number of systematic studies reveal that the halal mark is believed to be a quality assurance mark for highly exceptional hygienic methods, processing, and manufacturing among non-Muslim communities. Halal-certified food also has a very low incidence of food poisoning and contamination.”
